Zickfield’s was established in 1939 by William and Maxine Zickfield and the store was taken over by his son Kent in 1980. He has been in business since 1967 during high school. His son William and wife Vicki are also associated with the business. The location has always been on the Mississippi riverfront in downtown Cape Girardeau, MO. We have been at the present location since 1968. In 2003, we combined Zickfield’s Jewelry with a second business, The Gift Box that we also operated. We remodeled the store at that time and re-named the business Zickfield’s Jewelry and Gifts.

We also have complete departments for baby and baptism, religious 1st communion, and confirmation and wedding and anniversary gifts.
As you can see when we combined our two stores it gave us a very wide diversity of product lines and created a very unique style business model. This is something we would like to emphasize in some way. Other things we offer are in store repair. We have a certified gemologist on staff, we engrave and professionally gift wrap free of charge on items we sell, we have financing available through Wells Fargo, and offer free extended layaway.
